/ 2023-09-05

The church of Christ in Malabanias ( formerly Balibago ) known as Clark church, recently celebrated her 55th anniversary with Erasto ( Jun ) Fuentes, Jr as guest speaker!

This congregation, located near Clark Air Base in Angeles City in Pampanga has a two-storey building with a 500- person capacity worship hall and several classrooms on the first floor and a " missionary house " sprawling on her one-hectare land.

Built in 1968 primarily for American servicemen, their families along with
the Filipino community in that area.

To train Pampanga and Tagalog preachers, Philippine Bible College in Baguio City put up an Extension School there  with Eusebio Tanicala and Daniel Oliva serving as Directors from 1972-1976.

Notable preachers who graduated there were the late Leonardo Salta and Francisco Cura.Still actively preaching in Anao, Mexico, Pampanga is Arthur Laxamana, son-in-law of Leonardo Salta, who helped establish congregations in San Fernando City and others.

Don Huddleston was minister/evangelist in the 1970's along with the late Emmanuel Enriquez as Filipino preacher.

In the 1980's, Ray Bryan put up the Restoration Printing Press there with Higato Tulan ( now preaching in Camarines Sur ) along with the late Lope De La Cruz and Josefino A. Oliva.

Presently, the Clark church ( now called Angeles City ) has a Filipino preacher and American brother working together to evangelize the city and edify the 100- strong membership.
